New York Mets agree to terms with 5-Tool OF Adrian Hernandez for bonus to the tune of $1.5MM

ADRIAN HERNANDEZ, 6’1”, 170lb, R/R, 2/8/00, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

Hernandez developed with trainer “Nube” in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Adrian Hernandez is an absolute tools machine with no real hole in his game and 5 tool star potential. At the plate, he has massive power and the ability to consistently square the ball up and drive it all over the field. Then you can look at his plus speed where he was one of the fastest players at the DPL Elite travel showcase running a 6.39 60-yard dash. In the outfield, his speed allows him to cover a ton of ground while even in the case that the ball drops he has an outstanding plus arm with consistent accuracy. There is a lot to like in Adrian. Look for Adrian to move through the Mets minor league system quickly.

The New York Mets and Adrian Hernandez reached an agreement for a contract value of $1,500,000.00.

  • I was surprised to see the Mets sign an OF they presently have Juan Lagares, Conforto, Cespedes, Nimmo, in the MLB plus Cruzado, Taijeron. But with that talent, no wonder why they signed him, he Profiles as Carlos Gomez with more hitting in other words a triples machine. If he doesnt hit 6 tiples in DSL I stop watching baseball
