EIGHT DPL ALUMNI SELECTED TO 2015 MIDWEST AND FLORIDA STATE LEAGUE ALL-STAR ROSTERS
In exciting news, eight Dominican Prospect League alumni have been selected to their respective league All-Star Games. In the Midwest League, Natanael Delgado (Burlington Bees) has hit to the tune of a .275/.314/.404 slash line with a .717 OPS. He has three homeruns, three triples, and seven doubles. Yairo Munoz (Beloit Snappers) has an impressive .278/.311/.439 slash line with a .750 OPS. Munoz has knocked out seven homeruns and has 31 RBI to go along with six stolen bases on the year. Felix Jorge (Cedar Rapids Kernals) has dominated the Midwest League, pitching to a 3-2 record, 2.62 ERA and a measly 0.98 WHIP. Jorge has racked up 48 strikeouts in 55 innings, with only 11 walks. Richard Urena (Lansing Lugnuts) has also excelled this year hitting .282 with a .744 OPS. Urena has slugged eight homeruns, nine doubles, and knocked in 42 runners.
In the Florida State League, the Dominican Prospect League has four other alumni that have been selected to the All-Star Game. Alex Reyes (Palm Beach Cardinals) has a 2.17 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 49.2 innings. He has an astounding 69 strikeouts, resulting in a 12.5 SO/9 ratio. Miguel Andujar (Tampa Yankees) has 14 extra-base hits, including four homeruns, three triples, and seven doubles. Andujar has knocked in 29 runs so far. Willy Adames (Charlotte Stone Crabs) has an impressive .299 average, .366 OBP, .428 SLG, and .794 OPS. Adames has hit nine doubles and driven in 42 runs this year. Alberto Tirado (Dunedin Blue Jays) has also been selected to the All-Star Game and so far has a 2-0 record with a 1.77 ERA and 1.21 WHIP. He has saved one game and struck out 32 in only 35.2 innings.
