DPL Alumnus Raul Mondesi gets the call-up for the 2015 World Series

The American League Champions, Kansas City Royals announced today that their #1 Prospect, SS Raul Mondesi will be making his way to the biggest stage in all of baseball. Mondesi will be making his highly anticipated debut in the 2015 World Series. Mondesi has performed as expected throughout his career. As an amateur, scouts projected that he would be an impact player at the MLB level, and a potential All-Star caliber SS. He has performed offensively as well as defensively. Four DPL Alumnus recognized in Baseball America’s 2015 Best Tools Publication

Baseball America (BA), one of the leading baseball publications in the US, is in the process of releasing their annual “Best Tools” series. These lists are constructed through surveys conducted by BA to managers in all leagues in professional baseball. Some of the tools recognized include; best hitting prospect, best fastball, best baserunner, etc. In the 2015 series, there have been four DPL alumnus recognized for their advanced tools in their respective leagues: Low-A Mid-West League: SS Yairo Muñoz | Beloit Snappers | OAK Yairo Muñoz, who did not make BA’s OAK top ten prospects list, was recognized in this years Best Tools publication for having the best infield arm in the Mid-west league.
